Morgan Advanced Materials becomes sole owner of Carbo San Luis

We are pleased to announce the acquisition of Carbo San Luis. This comes after a 22-year strong partnership and ensures the continued growth and development of the business. The acquisition comes into force on 10 June 2020.

Our customers, business partners and communities within Argentina, Chile and Peru should expect the same high-level of service and a continuation of business as usual.

This acquisition cements Morgan Advanced Materials continuing investment in the region and supports future growth within the network.

About Carbo San Luis

 Carbo San Luis started in 1956 when The Carborundum Co. (Founded in 1891) bought the manufacturing site for Abrasives in Campana (Buenos Aires, ARG). It was in 1978 when The Carborundum plant started manufacturing Refractories. But only in 1986, The Carborundum manufacturing is finally installed in San Luis City.

Morgan Advanced Materials acquired a majority stake in 1998, while the management continued under the Argentinian Partners.
