MTC Melbourne specialises in the production of wear and corrosion resistant components from its world renowned Nilcra™ Zirconia. We have been the leading producer of transformation toughened Zirconia ceramics for over 2 decades. Our strength is in providing customers with the means of designing and engineering highly cost effective solutions in Nilcra™ Zirconia.

Thermal Ceramics (TC Aust) has merged its production units into a single facility located in Adelaide, South Australia, where we employ 44 employees. As the first and only Superwool™ manufacturing plant in the Southern Hemisphere, TC leads the market in the field of high temperature insulating products.

TC produces the premium Superwool 607™ / FireMaster™ range of low biopersistence fibre blankets. During 2007 further improvements were made to the process to allow Superwool Plus to be manufactured. The current plant is also capable of manufacturing traditional Kaowool, Cerablanket and Cerachem products.

Fibre product extends to boards, felts and mastics, and is supported by vacuum forming and custom conversion capabilities. The V-Lite vermiculite board and insulating castable range completes the scope of local manufacture.

A complete range of product offering is supported by other products from Thermal Ceramics global facilities. The products include Insulating Fire Bricks, boards, papers, felts and microporous specialties.

Management personnel transferred from Sydney to the upgraded manufacturing plant at Beverley in South Australia in 2003 to join our existing experienced manufacturing and technical people. Additional plant and administrative personnel have been recruited to give Thermal Ceramics a unique blend of experience, expertise and enthusiasm at the Beverley operations.

A network of trained technical and field sales staff work from offices and warehouses strategically placed throughout Australia, providing technical support to satisfy the complete high temperature insulation and fire protection needs of our customers.
