Duo to Debut at Hannover Messe

The first is a brush gear upgrade for wind turbine generators, which draws on Morgan’s extensive materials expertise and application engineering knowledge to deliver a range of performance benefits.

The new enhanced system has been shown to increase brush service life by up to 50 per cent in tests, allowing for longer intervals between brush replacement and reduced time spent on the replacement thanks to the easy-fit carbon brush holder system.

Set to raise industry standards for the surface profiling of commutators and slip rings, the new MSPro14 surface profiler seamlessly integrates a range of cutting-edge technologies and user-friendly features into a single portable unit.

The MSPro14 boasts a solid, easy-to-mount sensor that can be fitted to a wide range of holder sizes and can cope with extreme environments, including vibration. Moreover, the optimised sensor head will fit easily onto helically grooved slip rings. Offering rapid and simple set-up, it also has a responsive and user-friendly touch screen that is held within a robust housing.

Helen Carey of Morgan explained: “Morgan has more than 100 years’ experience designing and manufacturing specialist electrical components for industrial and power applications. Hannover Messe is established as the premier event at which to showcase innovations in industrial technology across a broad range of sectors and we anticipate strong interest from visitors in all of the technologies we will have on show.”
