Morgan Advanced Materials Displays Acclaimed Porextherm Insulation Range at Menasol 2015
27/04/2015
A leading event in the global solar energy sector, MENASOL will once again be attended by senior executives involved in the development of solar power throughout the Middle East and North Africa.
As a Global Premier Exhibitor at the event, Morgan will display a range of materials all drawing on its acclaimed WDS® Technology which allows the consistent control of the texture and distribution of minerals within the microporous mineral matrix core, ensuring optimal thermal characteristics alongside superior mechanical properties.
The range includes WDS® UltraShell, a high-performance, rigid microporous shell system for piping insulation which is available in a wide range of diameters, thicknesses and frame designs, preventing the additional cost and inconvenience of adding flexible materials to achieve thicknesses above 25mm, or to insulate large diameter pipes. It offers perfect sealing around a pipe with easy and fast handling, installation and fixing as it is easy to cut and preform on site. Compared with other microporous insulation products on the market, WDS® UltraShell boasts superior mechanical strength with lower density as well as remarkably low and flat thermal activity.
Visitors can also find out more about the WDS MultiFLEX® range. Compliant with the ASTM C1676 standard specification for microporous insulation and non-flammable in accordance with DIN EN 13501-1, Euroclass A1, WDS® MultiFLEX® delivers best-in-class thermal insulation performance – five times that of conventional insulation products - across a broad temperature range, with thermal stability up to 1,050ºC (1,922ºF). It is particularly suitable for ball joint insulation or pipe supports. In addition, WDS® MultiWrap a multi-layer jacket system comprising an optimised combination of insulating materials, boasts similar qualities and is also well suited to insulating ball joints.
Completing the line-up is WDS® Ultra SP, which is designed specifically to meet the insulation requirements of receiver heat shields on towers when used in combination with Morgan fibre boards.
Guido Chiappano of Morgan Advanced Materials commented: “With their strong insulating and mechanical properties, our products are ideally suited to the unique demands of the solar power industry. MENASOL 2015 represents an ideal opportunity for us to promote our unique offering to the key decision makers in the region and we anticipate strong interest in all of the technologies we will have on display.”
Morgan customers can benefit from a €150 discount on exhibition passes by quoting a code which they can be obtained from their sales contact.
