We believe that everyone in Morgan has a shared responsibility to keep themselves and each other safe.
We rely on the expertise and commitment of our operational and safety teams to uphold high standards across our sites, ensure all incidents are thoroughly investigated, and implement effective controls to prevent recurrence. Actual and potentially severe incidents are reviewed biweekly with the Group CEO and Divisional Presidents.
Our approach to health and safety
Governance
Accountability for safety sits with our CEO and executive leadership team, with regular performance reviews and clear reporting lines through our divisions and operational sites. Our approach is guided by our Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) policy and supporting standards.
Safety culture
Our thinkSAFE programme defines the behaviours expected across the Group, including:
- Visible Safety Leadership
- 'Don’t Walk By'; intervening when unsafe conditions are observed
- TAKE 5'; pausing to assess risk before starting work
We actively encourage employee engagement and near-miss reporting to strengthen a culture where everyone takes responsibility for safety.
Prevention and risk management
We focus on preventing incidents through:
- Hazard identification and risk assessment
- Industrial hygiene and occupational health monitoring
- Structured training and capability development
- A global audit and assurance programme
- Root cause analysis and corrective action tracking
Our Process Safety Risk Management framework strengthens our ability to identify and manage high-consequence risks across our operations.

- Lost Time Accident Rate (LTA): 0.18*
