Responsible sourcing
Morgan's Responsible Sourcing programme aims to ensure suppliers operate ethically, respect human rights, comply with environmental and product compliance requirements, responsibly source raw materials, and support resilient, transparent supply chains.
The programme is delivered through supplier due diligence, ESG screening via an external platform, supplier code of conduct, conflict minerals management, and ongoing supplier engagement aligned with customer, regulatory and EcoVadis expectations.
Key elements of the supplier program are:
1. Supplier Code of Conduct
Morgan requires suppliers to comply with a Supplier Code of Conduct covering:
- Human rights
- Labour standards
- Health & safety
- Environmental stewardship
- Anti-bribery and ethical business conduct
- Conflict minerals requirements
- Supply chain due diligence expectations
Suppliers are expected to cascade these standards into their own supply chains.
2. Supplier ESG Screening and Due Diligence
Morgan is implementing supplier ESG screening through Assent to improve visibility of ESG risks within the supply chain.
Screening includes:
- Human rights risks
- Forced labour and child labour risks
- Climate and environmental performance
- Anti-bribery and ethical business conduct
- Product compliance requirements
- Conflict minerals reporting
ESG questionnaires and supplier assessments are being used to support this process.
3. Human Rights & Modern Slavery
Morgan's responsible sourcing programme incorporates:
- Human rights expectations for suppliers
- Modern slavery due diligence
- Child labour due diligence
- Fair labour practices
- Freedom of association and non-discrimination principles
These requirements align with international frameworks and Morgan's wider Human Rights commitments.
4. Conflict Minerals Management
Morgan has established processes aligned to the OECD Due Diligence Framework, US and EU Conflict Minerals Regulations.
Suppliers of relevant raw materials are required to provide conflict minerals declarations.
Annual data collection is performed through and external platform for suppliers in scope.
5. Sustainable Procurement & Supply Chain Resilience
Morgan is seeking to:
- Improve transparency within the supply chain
- Develop sourcing strategies for critical materials
- Reduce exposure to climate-related supply chain disruptions
- Encourage suppliers to improve their own ESG performance
