The Group has established four Centres of Excellence, which are dedicated to driving materials development, to exacting customer specifications, and delivering performance through materials and production process innovation.

The Centres consolidate the Group’s R&D efforts around its core technologies, to increase the effectiveness of our R&D spend, accelerate key projects and increase technical differentiation. The Centres focus on the strategic execution priorities for the divisions and the Group.

We invest in innovation to maintain our materials leadership and overall capability. In 2025, we spent £28.9 million in research and development (R&D) across our four global Centres of Excellence.

Our chosen markets remain critical, providing the Group with a strong base and a diversified portfolio.
